This is the "title track" to the album (in case you hadn't figured that out). It
was really important to me to include this song on the album (which would
eventually become the name of the album) because it describes how I was
living...how I thought I could pretty much do anything I wanted without any
consequences. But because I was still a Christian (pretty much in name only, at
this point) I did start to experience consequences, and I was basically forced
to my knees. And this is where God found me. I cried out to Him and He heard me.
And it didn't matter what I had done. "He looked past my sin and saw my
hurting...He pulled me into His arms, where I will stay forever." He met where I
was, and it didn't matter where I was. He still loves me and He always will...no
matter what. This, to me, is the most important song on the entire album because
it illustrates Christ's incredible love for us. We will never be able to
comprehend the magnitude of the power of His love or the sacrifice that He made
for us.
I was the dreamer, reaching for all of the stars (in the Heavens above me)
Never believing anything could be too hard.
But resisting temptation, and standing my ground, was so far beyond me I fell
all the way down.
Where You found me on my knees
Broken and crying for release
Trapped in my sin and shame
Wrapped in the guilt that had bound me
Where You found me on my knees.
Should have known better, but I gave into desire (I had all the excuses)
Under the letter I would be doomed to the fire.
But through love and redemption in that horrible place, I was freed from my
prison and delivered by Grace.
Where You found me on my knees
Broken and crying for release
Trapped in my sin and shame
Wrapped in the guilt that had bound me
Where You found me on my knees.
You looked past my sin and saw my hurting
You pulled me into your arms where I will stay forever...
Where you'll find me on my knees
Bowing before the King of Peace
Worshipping You, My Lord
So thankful You're standing beside me
As You find me on my knees.
